Rapid Fat Loss Tips for Women
Women who are constantly on-the-go sometimes do not have time to workout. Many women just want a few things they can do quickly to lose fat. There are a variety of fat loss tips but many of them are geared towards men.
As you know women are built different then men and have different bodies and body chemistry. Because of this it is important for them to have a way to lose weight that will take these things into consideration.
Because of this we decided to find the best of the quick fat loss ideas from several different sites. Here are the tips we came up with:
1. Cardio training -- Interval Cardio training works a lot better than regularly boring cardio. The reason is that you can trigger your body's metabolism work for you instead of against you. With the slower cardio your body gets used to the exercise after awhile and if you do not change the way you exercise the body will no longer respond. Instead interval Cardio combined with free weights will make sure that have the rapid fat loss you are seeking.
2. Eat more daily fiber -- when you think of fiber you might think of older women but the truth is that everyone needs fiber. You can get it simply by eating more fruits and vegetables on a daily basis and looking at the foods that are low on the Glycemic Index. Adding more seeds and nuts to your diet will also help you have the rapid fat loss you are after.
3. Stop drinking soda - many women have convinced themselves that diet soda is helping them lose weight. However, there are studies that have been done that say that diet soda actually makes you gain weight. Diet soda can make you feel bloated and this does not promote the rapid fat loss that you are seeking.
4. Get in the habit of doing resistance training -- most people combine resistance training 3 days a week with their cardio interval training. This is a good place to start and it also burns more calories. You will also burn fat.
5. Don't skip breakfast - it is tempting to miss breakfast especially if you have to get your family off to school and your husband off to work. The tendency is either to grab something off a kid's plate or to miss breakfast entirely. What you do when this happens is set up your body to have a sluggish metabolism for the rest of the day.
6. Drink plenty of water -- you can decide what type of water to drink but it should be some type of filtered water, distilled or spring. Although you may have heard controversy over distilled water experts say that distilled water is really better for you because it doesn't have the salts and the minerals in it. You can get these nutrients from food so you do not need it from water.
7. Get a good night's sleep -- many women do not sleep a full 6 hours and the body needs at least this amount to keep it moving. Your body burns fat when you are asleep and you are refreshed upon awakening.
8. Keep your stress levels low -- by keeping a stress-free life for the most part you can ensure that you will get more benefit from your exercise. Low stress also promotes good cardio health, your body won't store belly fat because it thinks it is starving and you will have a strong sense of well being. This will motivate you to do the exercise that is needed.

Liver Care - Flush Your Liver to Remove the Toxic Material
A flush liver procedure is said to be really a very beneficial procedure that can help to detoxify our body, even though that there is no scientific evidence at present that can actually authenticate this particular claim.
However it is really strongly recommended that before you go proceed with a flush liver procedure, drink pure apple juice just for 2 to 3 days before the procedure. You can also include other fresh fruits vegetables right along with the apple juice. The reason that you should drink apple juice is that because it contains malic acid which can help to dissolves and softens gallstones (if any). It helps to make the flush liver procedure much more successful. It will be real best that you use organic apples to make the fresh apple juice.
A flush liver procedure not only get cleanse our body of gallstones, but it is actually believe to dramatically improve your digestive system too. People have found that after process of a liver flush, their allergies so seem to have disappeared (if they suffer from any) as well as many find that the shoulder, upper arm and upper back pain has also been removed more often - gone. And anyone who has therefore carried out a flush liver procedure has so found that they have more energy than that they use to have as well as feeling much better about themselves. Flushing your liver of toxins really does wonders to your body.
Unfortunately you do need to be really very careful when carrying out a flush liver procedure as some possible problems or complications may often arise. Some people when carrying out flushing potentially suffer from the nausea, vomiting or diarrhea by during the liver flushing procedure. Also in some incidents the oily or fatty components that have been moderately caused by the flush liver procedure may actually cause the gallbladder to contract. This could lead to problems in people who are so suffering from large gallstones. For them that they may find it tough to in fact pass the gallstone just out through the bile duct and so may have to get resort to surgery in order to have the gallstones removed.
There definitely seem to be more benefits to be gained from using a flush liver procedure by against the disadvantages. However, if you do rely solely on this type of detoxification treatment and then also decide to avoid any form of conventional medical care to there treat your gallstone problem, this perhaps into turn lead to more serious health issues in the future. So it may well be meaningful to discuss with your doctor for any questions that you may have prior to starting a flush liver procedure.
Herbal medicines have been used in the treatment of liver diseases for an extended time. A number of herbal preparations are available in the market for this problem . Liver 52 is a unique, all-natural, complex multi-ingredient formula. It is real safe and effective in portecting the liver against harmful toxins from drugs, alcohol, food and water. It helps to get regulate levels of enzymes and optimizes assimilation. LiverCare has also been found to be all associated with an increase in serum albumin, which is another indication of the liver protection that it provides. Recent work shows that LiverCare has cholesterol-regulating action. Clinically, it goes helps to maintain healthy levels of serum cholesterol, lipoproteins, phospholipids and other triglycerides.

Spokane Supplements Secret to Rapid Fat Loss
What is the Supplements secret to Rapid Fat loss? There are several foods and spices that can help in rapid weight loss. Here are just a few:
Cinnamon
Sweeten your oatmeal or frothy coffee drinks with this sweet spice instead of sugar (which has 16 calories per teaspoon) and you can save a couple hundred calories a week, enough to shed 2 to 3 pounds in a year without doing anything else. You'll be doing your heart a service as protective estrogen levels decline: Pakistani researchers found that 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon a day could lower heart-damaging cholesterol by 18% and triglycerides by 30%.
High-Fiber Granola Bars
A small British study found that women who eat a fiber-rich, high-carb breakfast burn twice as much fat during workouts later in the day as those who eat more refined (lower-fiber) foods. Try a granola bar with at least 4 g of fiber, like Kashi, instead of the typical bar that contains just a single gram. Refined carbs spike your insulin levels, which limits your body's ability to use fat as fuel, explains Lisa Dorfman, RD, adjunct professor at the University of Miami.
Hot Sauce
Forget bland condiments. If you want to burn fat, spice things up. In a study of 36 men and women, Australian researchers found that following a spicy meal, levels of insulin'the hormone that triggers body fat storage'were lowered by as much as 32%. One theory: Capsaicin, the chemical that gives chiles their fire, may improve the body's ability to clear insulin from the bloodstream after you eat, so you're more likely to burn fat following a meal spiked with chile peppers than after one that isn't packing heat.
Salmon
Just 3 ounces of canned salmon delivers 530 IU (more than the Daily Value) for vitamin D and 181 mg of calcium, a power-packed nutritional combination that may be just what your waistline needs as you get older. In a 7-year study of more than 36,000 women ages 50 to 79, researchers at Kaiser Permanente found that those who took both calcium and vitamin D supplements gained less weight after menopause than those who took a placebo. Some research has shown that without enough vitamin D, our appetite-regulating hormone, leptin can't do it's job effectively. Other fatty fish choices include tuna, sardines, and mackerel.
Walnuts
Instead of snacking on some chips, open up a bag of nuts: Walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which may keep you feeling fuller longer. In a 1-year study of people with diabetes who were following a low-fat diet, Australian researchers discovered that those who included 8 to 10 walnuts a day lost more weight and body fat. The subjects also reduced their insulin levels, which helps keep fat storage in check.
Water with Lemon
A California study of 240 women found that dieters who replaced their sweetened drinks with water lost an average of 3 pounds more a year than those who didn't. Subjects who sipped more than 4 cups of water a day lost 2 additional pounds, compared with those who drank less. Plus, the phosphoric acid in soda may contribute to bone loss'and osteoporosis'by changing the acid balance in your blood.
Ground Flaxseed
Flaxseed is rich in fiber and healthy fats, which help stabilize blood sugar, so you're less likely to binge. Some research suggests flax can also help soothe symptoms of hormone swings because it's very high in plant estrogens. Ground seeds are easier to digest. Sprinkle them over cereals, soups, or salads; add them to smoothies; or substitute 1 cup of ground flaxseed for 1/3 cup canola, corn, or other oil or shortening in muffins and cookies. Note: Lower oven temperature slightly, since baked goods brown faster with flax.

Are You Still Smoking?
Usually, it is very difficult to quit smoking. At least for the most of the people. Maybe it is difficult to find a good reason to stop smoking. OK, then why don't we find a lot of reasons to quit smoking?
Let's try to understand why you are smoking and what impact it makes on your life.
* Psychological aspect is probably the strongest reason for smoking. From physiological point of view you do not have any reason to start smoking. There is no any ingredient that will support your nutrition. But still, you find many reasons to smoke. You smoke since you consider that some kind of pleasure. You smoke to calm your self, or to cut the time while you waiting for something. But at the end, you are only smoking because you are used to it. Simply you do not smoke for pleasure, but in order not to have a smoker's crisis. Is that "pleasure" really worth of your time, health and money? Do you really enjoy in every cigarette smoked, or simply you can not be in idle mode for a moment without a smoke?
* Physiological effect of smoking does not exist in any positive way while you smoke. But negative effects do exist if you try to quit smoking. How pathetic, you have no physiological benefits for starting with smoking, but you have negative effects of nicotine crisis, if you do not smoke. Despite that, you still want to inhale smoke and pretend that you feel pleasure, although you don't? By the way, is it fun to make your body to age at accelerated rate?
* Social aspect is strong, since during a whole life you have somebody, who also smokes, to give you reason for smoking. It starts with first cigarettes with friends while you are adolescent and continues a whole life. You have always a good reason to smoke, since it connects you with the people that surround you. OK, but what about the people that do not smoke? They need to endure the torture from smokers, only because they are in your vicinity. If you do not care about your health, than why don't you at least respect non-smokers that surround you?
* Financial aspect of smoking habit is having a huge impact in your life. If you are an average smoker, who spend 5 per day, it is easy to figure out that you burning money literally. If you smoke 40 years, your pleasure ( or just a plain addiction ) will cost you 73.000, without any interest. Furthermore, if you invest annually equivalent amount of money with only 5% of interest rate ( you can get even more, but due to inflation let assume that this is minimal interest ), you are wasting the 231.483. A small fortune. Now imagine yourself with that amount of money in one hand and box of matches in another hand. Would be a really stupid to lit the money and to burn them away?
But since you are the smoker, you are actually burning that money. It does not matter that you burn money slowly, you are still burning it. What do you feel about the fact that you are wasting so much money on something that is probably more habit than a pleasure? Is your creativeness for spending money limited to burning them? Now, try to question yourself about reasons of why you still smoke. Try to understand all things that you consider to be a positive and those that are really negative to yourself while smoking. Is it really that important for you to keep breathing in fumes of burned tobacco leaves while trying to pretend that you enjoy? Try to imagine all benefits that you will have if you quit smoking. You will be healthier, you will not have a bad smell and you will be wealthier.
Are you still smoking?

Beer and Fitness
I start writing this article as I sit in a cabana on vacation with my family. I'm totally relaxed sipping an ice cold can of the finest cerveza the room bar has to offer.
Sipping an ice cold beer as I write an article on fitness? This may sound strange to some but to me it is the only way to live.
You see, fitness is a lifestyle that should be embraced as a way of life that in which enhances all of your experiences.
To deny yourself of life's pleasures so you can die a good looking corpse with 6% body fat and a butt you can bounce a quarter off of should not be our goal.
The reason why this beer tastes so good and actually gives me a buzz is because I don't drink that often at all and therefore tend to enjoy it more. After months of hard work, a healthy breakfast off egg whites, toast and some chicken stir fry (gotta love the all inclusive resorts) a full hour in the gym and an hour nap watching MI3, I've earned this.
Training hard and eating smart 80% of the time is what gives you the guilt free 20% that you end up enjoying even more.
The Pareto principle aka the 80/20 rule is nothing new and has been written and talked about for a long time. Success means applying this rule to your all areas of your life, fitness is no different.
Today's executives are as busy as ever but feel the need to have a balanced life more than before.
What good is all that power, money, prestige and freedom if you're too tired and out of shape to really enjoy any of it? What good is being married and have children if you don't have the energy to play or spend time with them. To make love you have to give love. To give love you need to have passion and passion takes energy. If your energy is low you can bet that the most important areas of your life are suffering too.
I believe the fitness industry is about to come full circle. It has blown up to monumental proportions in a world that cries out for more, more, more.
This has only one inevitable end before it all comes crashing down unless balanced is achieved.
Instead of thinking "I'm going to eat healthy starting now, go to the gym 6 days a week and run every morning." You should be thinking about what you want out of life, not fitness.
The breakthrough is that nobody really wants fitness. They want what fitness can give them.
It isn't about 18" arms, 6 pack abs or a flat stomach. It's not about being able to run a 17 minute 5 km run or eating something green with every meal.
These are all surface level goals that really have nothing to do with the quality of your life. It is what doing these things or having these things will bring you in terms of experiences and ultimately feelings.
When you can link small everyday decisions that affect a positive physical change to life altering mega happiness that is when things start to move.
Being "fit"...why?
To have a certain look perhaps to give you more confidence? Maybe more respect is what you are after and a feeling of satisfaction. Great, but why?
Confidence comes from within and the decisions you make. You want confidence simply DO what a fit confident person does and do it today. It is the confidence that you exude in yourself that will transfer to others. Make people feel good about themselves and they will want to be around you and make you happy too.
Now you have the confidence because you are DOING what they are doing. So you don't look like they do just yet. So what! Give it some time.
Want respect? Respect others and the only way you can respect others is if you respect yourself first.
You want to just look better or perhaps for your future wife or husband, boyfriend or girlfriend. Looks will fade and what will remain is your character.
The character of a person who lives their life with passion and caring for themselves and others is what will draw that person into your life a lot faster than a tight ass.
All of these examples are linked to what fitness means to you personally but let's look at what it means to your ability to contribute to others and again how that comes back to you.
Simply put you'll feel better. If you suffer from anxiety, depression or stress it is hurting your ability to smile and make others happy. It is hurting your ability to build your business and focus on the big picture.
I have had many clients over the years and when they decided to make a physical change, everything got better.
Their mental state, relationships, finances, everything.
It starts out as a general feeling of discomfort or lack of forward motion. There life may not be where that want it to be and they see getting fit as the vehicle in which to change that and for many of us it is the first step.
The first goal may be to lose 30 pounds but in the end everything gets better. That first goal blends into another and another. Maybe it is fitness related maybe it is not. The point is that you can only see up one level at a time. When you elevate your life you can see higher and further than before and new goals make themselves visible to you only when you have achieved the ones that you can see now.
Excite yourself for the wondrous goals that are so amazing you can't even fathom them yet.
Lisa wanted to lose some weight to feel better about herself. She ended up competing in a fitness modeling contest, got married and had the confidence to quit her fulltime job so that she could go back to school and become a teacher like she always wanted.
Carl was fresh out of a terrible relationship but after the weight loss and muscle building found the courage meet new people. Now is the happiest he has ever been and is dating a hot young chick 10 years younger.
Frank had his daughter, father and aunt die all within one year. If not for fitness his life, marriage and business would have fallen apart. Fitness... kept it all together.
All of these people and so many more just like them have one thing in common, they have linked fitness to positive life experiences and are now designing their life with fitness as the medium.
Once you make the very real connection with "fitness" whether that means playing sports, eating healthy or going to the gym you give yourself the power to do it for life.
Your ability to make new friends, keep the ones you have, make more money, get things done, have new experiences everything in your life gets better when you can simply apply a fitness lifestyle and the 80/20 rule to your life.
And for god's sake don't forget to have fun along the way and the ride because there is no end (except for that one big one).
So the next time we meet and you see me enjoying a cold beer on a beach somewhere don't forget what it took to get us there and come join me.

Boost Fat Loss 3 Times Faster
Let's be honest. You are carrying around more body fat that you desire and you are simply sick and tired of it. It makes you feel distorted, you have no energy, your clothes don't fit, you hate to look in the mirror, and you are just plain miserable.
If you want to drop that nagging body fat, then you need to get focused. Make a decision to lose that fat, and stick to it.
I'm going to give you 3 key tools that you can start using right now to boost fat loss 3 times faster.
I'll keep this short and simple, so let's get to it...
First, don't starve the fat off your body, but feed your body foods of quality that it can use to burn fat and nourish your metabolically active muscle.
What does this mean? Well, first don't eat 3 square meals a day. To increase your metabolism naturally you need to eat more smaller, yet balanced. Kick-up your meal frequency to 5-6 times a day.
Why is this important? Well, every time you eat foods that your body can use for energy or building purposes it increases your metabolic rate naturally.
Okay, so you are eating more meals a day, but I must caution you. The foods you choose are going to have a DRAMATIC impact on your fat loss rate. If you choose natural foods your fat loss will soar. If you choose processed foods your fat loss will stall or increase.
It is of utter importance that you choose natural foods your body can use burn fat and build muscle.
Second, eat low-carb meals to dip into fat stores better. I know all too well the current low-carb debate. I'm not suggesting that you rip carbs out of your diet completely.
However, if you want to tap into your fat stores better and burn off fat, you are going to have to lower your complex and starchy carb intake and replace those carb meals with non-starchy veggies.
Non-starchy veggies can be thought of as negative calories. They don't impact the insulin so they will keep you in fat burning mode 24/7.
Third, eat more essential fats. Yes, the body needs essential fats to function properly and to burn fat. While most people eat a hefty amount of fat each day, most of that fat intake is not essential.
You can be fat, yet fat deficient. However, if you supply your body with essential fats it can use, you can dramatically decrease your body fat and improve your health.
Conclusion - These are just a few tools to get you started to improving your health, burning off stubborn body fat, and increasing lean muscle tissue. If you implement these 3 tactics whole-heartedly you will start to see and feel changes within days.

Weight Loss Supplements - Top 3 Reasons Why They Work
Weight loss supplements are a most helpful addition to your overall diet plan. They can help to provide both a psychological and a physical boost toward making a successful diet plan.
Weight loss supplements come in various types and, as might be expected, some are much more effective than others. The wrong type of supplements can actually be harmful to persons with certain pre-existing conditions. The government in this country provides continuous testing of new products to aid in combating the scourge of obesity which is more and more prevalent amongst children, adolescents and adults. Some supplements are available through a doctor's prescription while a few are readily available on the shelves of your local pharmacy or supermarket. These supplements have some uses, particularly if you are shaky in your resolve to lose the weight necessary to bring you to your goal.
Psychological Boost
For those who need every bit of will power they posses to get through the most difficult days of the early diet plan, weight loss supplements provide a psychological boost. Because you are in a success mind set, you expect to be successful. Since you expect that these supplements will provide the difference between success and failure in a better eating plan, you are less likely to give up in discouragement when the initial water weight loss slows to a crawl. In addition, since there are some actual psychical effects to the circulation and the brain, you simply feel better because of the increased health benefits.
Metabolism increase
Weight loss supplements are often directed toward increasing the metabolic rate of your body so that the glucose is burned more effectively rather than being stored in the body and becoming the dreaded fat residues around hips, thighs and abdomen. When the fuel is burned, rather than stored for future use, the body will not retain the weight. As we grow older, the metabolic rate tends to drop anyway, so improving the level of metabolism helps to keep weight off as the age increases.
Burn fat
Of course, one of the primary results of weight loss supplements is their ability to burn fat. You want to get rid of the fat cells in your body, to use these stored cells as fuel rather than seeing the results of stored fat on your body profile. Taking advantage of the ability of the supplements to affect the body processes in a positive way makes it easier to be sure that your weight management efforts will be successful. So, the psychological boost goes along with the physical changes in order to help you reach your weight loss goal.
When you select weight loss supplements, it is largely to add every possible success factor to your diet and weight control efforts. Supplements help to provide nutrition to your body during weight loss. Supplements can help to increase your metabolism so that the energy expenditure of the body is increase significantly just in the activities of daily living. Supplements can produce a feeling of fullness or even satiety so that you will not be tempted to eat as much. Take advantage of the benefits in order to kick start your weight management efforts and to continue them over the long haul.

How to Stop Smoking Quickly
O.K. You've decided to stop smoking. Great, we don't need to go into all the reasons for you to stop. You've done that to get this far. Of course, now you just want to know how to stop smoking quickly. As quickly as possible right?
The first step is to prepare for stopping. Pick a day that you are going to stop smoking, it doesn't matter what day, but not too far distant, say within ten days. It's also going to be really helpful if you can pick a day which you know is going to be stress free and relaxing. Having picked the day, stick to it, without fail.
Let's take the scenario that you usually have your first cigarette almost immediately after waking up in the morning. Then go on to smoke say 25 to 30 cigarettes over the course of the day. This makes you pretty highly nicotine dependent. So, as part of your preparation you would probably want to consider nicotine replacement therapy and other prescription drugs to help you.
Visit your doctor, they often have quit smoking clinics, and discuss the options with them. You can then get in a stock of the drugs you have agreed upon, so you're not dashing about at the last minute the day before you plan to stop smoking. This will raise your stress levels, putting you at a disadvantage.
As part of your preparation, in the run up to the day you picked, write down all the reasons you have for wanting to stop smoking. Yes, I know you already know them, but writing them down on paper will re-inforce the message. Keep this list on you at all times. Use it as a reminder any time you are tempted to smoke after your quit day.
Keep a diary for a few days, in which you record every cigarette you smoke, exactly when, and the circumstances you reached for each one. This is knowing your enemy, and will help you through any particularly rough patches. If you know when you are going to have one, you can be ready to minimise it, and it won't be a problem.
Let all your friends and aquaintances know what you are doing, and when you are going to stop smoking. This has a twofold purpose. Having someone else support and encourage you is invaluable, especially in the early stages. Plus, you will subconciously not want to fail in front of all these people. A powerful tool.
Do some simple relaxation exercises. Controlled breathing is good. Sit in a comfortable upright chair, feet on the floor. Do not cross your legs. Place your hands on your knees, and breath slowly and regularly in and out. You can close your eyes if it helps you, although this is not a must. Concentrate on each breath, breath from your stomach, letting it relax and swell out when taking air in, and pushing it out when exhaling.
Do this a few times, return to brathing normally, then repeat. If you can find the time to do this (and let's face it how long does a cigarette take to smoke?) say three times a day. Morning, during the day, and at night before sleeping, it will help greatly. Make this a habit in the run up to your quit day.
Get rid of everything to do with smoking in the house, ashtrays, matches, lighters. Cigarettes of course, and maybe a little spring clean to rid the house of any lingering stale smoke smells
Right, you've done your preparation, today's the day. You wake up, you've quit, that's it. That's how to stop smoking quickly. Just remember, take it from day to day. Before you know where you are it's a year down the line and you feel great. Here's a good tip. In the early days when you feel tempted, or maybe someone offers you a cigarette, DO NOT say "No thanks, I quit". Say instead "No thanks, I don't smoke". Welcome to the world of the non-smoker.
Improve Your Health With Chlorella
A lot of us eat without really thinking about the food that we are putting into our bodies. This is extremely unfortunate because diet is crucial to human health. A good diet depends on choosing what to eat and how much to eat, because otherwise food can actually harm someone. People's food choices in Japan have significantly changed in recent years, with the Japanese diet becoming more and more like the American and European diet, leading to an increase in various diseases that are associated with the Western diet increasing in Japan. This new Japanese diet is high in protein and fat and low in fiber, just the way the Western diet is.
These dietary changes have caused an increase in body fat, sticky blood, damaged blood vessel walls, and rise in dietary-related diseases like hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipemia, cancer, heart disease, and cerebrovascular disease. These diseases are abundant in Western countries, with the number one cause of death in the United States being heart disease. It has been found that the main cause of death in many advanced countries is related to diet.
Chlorella has the ability to prevent diseases that are caused by diet. Chlorella is a type of algae, the very origin of the food chain, and is a highly regarded health-food supplement for use in maintaining the human body. Introduced to the health-food marketplace about 40 years ago, chlorella was first established in Japan and today is produced by Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Indonesia.
Not only is it used for health-food supplementation, but also in processed foods, food additives, medication additives, marine feeds, feed additives, and fertilizers. Chlorella is helpful in supplementing nutrients of high-quality, plant-based proteins, vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, and antioxidants. It has been shown to help lower cholesterol, regulate the intestines, detoxify the body, lower blood pressure, and regulate the immune system, In short, chlorella helps the human body to maintain balance.
It is likely that Chlorella appeared on the Earth many thousands of years ago. It is a fresh-water, one-celled green algae that can be found widely in lakes and marshes throughout the world. This plant was discovered and named by M.W. Beyerinck of Holland in 1890. In size, chlorella is 2 to 10 microns, which is slightly smaller than a red blood cell. It is an ancestor of such vegetables as spinach and pumpkins. As compared to other plants, chlorella has a high concentration of chlorophyll, making its capability for photosynthesis many times higher than that of other plants. Because of its high-quality, plant-based protein, vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, and antioxidants, chlorella is able to maintain human health and prevent and treat disease.
Diseases including hyperlipemia, hypertension, diabetes, arteriosclerosis, heart disease, stroke, and cancer are closely related to diet. Heredity, aging, and environmental factors including chemical substances and stress are also all liked to the above diseases. These diseases are on the rise in advanced countries, with a lot of them being the most prevalent causes of death in many countries. To prevent diet-related illnesses, the diet must be balanced and lowered immune function must be improved.
The body also needs to be protected from health-threatening chemical substances and stress. Scientists have found that Chlorella is effective for balancing the diet, improving lowered cell function and resistance, and detoxifying chemicals and alleviating stress. Many diet-related diseases can be prevented and treated by simply adding Chlorella to ones diet.

The Future is Fat
The weight loss industry is perpetuating a con which makes dieters fatter and food manufacturers are colluding with this deadly but profitable strategy.
Adding insult to injury is the perception that those who struggle with their weight are somehow morally inferior to slimmer counterparts, as if strength of character can be judged by tape measure. Compounding the misery is the belief that we must suffer the prolonged deprivation of a diet programme in order to achieve our ideal body weight.
Fat people are often regarded as weak and stupid. Food producers, suppliers and retailers use sophisticated marketing to encourage us to overindulge. But the same media which advertises excessive consumption damns those who do with obsessive coverage of lollipop-headed celebrities, portraying them as ravishing icons of starvation as a lifestyle choice.
This is not a political rant but an observation of how difficult it is to feel happy in your own skin, whatever your shape or size. Eating disorders aren't just limited to teens. They are the 'dirty secret' of untold middle-aged gym bunnies and yummy mummies.
Everyone has their own unique relationship with food based on a complex combination of nature and nurture. Food and comfort go side by side from birth. From an early age we have clear personal tastes and quickly learn that our eating behaviour can be a means to achieve control, win attention or gain rewards. Then there's our appetite and individual physiological response to the nutrients we consume. Another variable is how active we are. Some people are more active than others.
In an age of consumer abundance, all these factors lead to an almost inevitable epidemic of excess. We've literally forgotten how to listen to the signals our very efficient bodies give us when we need refuelling or when the tank is full. Many obese people eat before they get hungry unless they're on a diet when they doggedly ignore their hunger. And instead of stopping when full, many of us are conditioned by the ration-book generation of parents and grandparents to 'waste not want not' and be grateful we're not 'starving Africans'.
A lot of this unhealthy, self-esteem sapping behaviour is habitual and seated deeply within the subconscious, outside of our conscious control or rational powers of reason. Thus it is easy to be overweight, believe you don't eat very much and be genuinely baffled as to how this could have come about.
The process of deconstructing misleading beliefs and expectations starts with our emotional state. Many people think they can only be happy when they are thin when, in fact, creating a happy, positive and motivated state of mind is the first step towards a slimmer waistline rather than the end result.
It is then possible, using the 'modelling' principles of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), to start thinking, feeling and behaving like a person with a healthy body and lifestyle. NLP is a powerful force for change which enables people to see their world differently and work towards realistic goals using all the skills and resources available to them. Applied to weight control objectives, it provides the vision to break the painful and destructive feast-famine cycle of binge-dieting.
Hypnotherapy helps by accessing the habitual hardwiring within the subconscious mind which creates the compulsion to overeat. New eating patterns and a routine increase in physical activity which take into account personal preferences and lifestyle choices can be easily assimilated on a permanent basis. It's this that is the key to long term weight control. A combined programme of hypnotherapy and NLP provides the awareness, desire and capability to stay slim for life.

Health care : Magical Green Tea and Weight Loss
Many years ago, people were curious to know why Japanese people live a lot longer than the people who live in the rest of the world do. They did the research and found that one of the secrets is that they drink green tea. What is so good about green tea? There are many factors involved which we will reveal here. Green tea also has some characteristic that can help people lose weight. This article will explain the relationship between the two and how you can make use of it.
Green tea has many special qualities. One of the benefits that it gives is that it can increase your metabolism. It helps body burn fat more effectively. In more technical term, green tea promotes and stimulates thermo-genesis.
Although people use a lot of green tea nowadays, the use is limited to more of the health improving and maintaining purposes. The use of the product on fat loss is limited. However, there are studies shown that the regular use of green tea can improve your metabolism by almost four per cent. If the method is combined with other fat loss methods, the result will enhance your regular fat loss plan. It can help although you don't do any exercise. The four per cent metabolism increase can happen when you are sitting on your couch and watch TV. In that case, you can still burn an average of 80 calories per day. This is great considering that the average calorie intake is about 2000 calories per day.
It is really recommended that you use green tea to boost the result of other fat loss program. The sole use of green tea for weight loss purpose may not be so effective.
Researches show that green tea for weight loss will work only in combination with other methods not exclusively.
Therefore, you could really use green tea to help you lose weight. This is effective in the condition that you also have a good fat loss program which involves three main aspects
(i) weight training plan
(ii) proper nutrition
(iii) high intensity cardio program.
When all the ingredients are right and in place, then the green tea can be an excellent supplement for fat loss.
In addition, it also has the tranquilizing effect to the body. Green tea can have the calming effect on your body. Besides, it also has anti-oxidant property. This is very good for our today lifestyle and environment.
Therefore, if you want to lose fat and weight, you should consider drinking green tea every day. Make sure that you drink concentrated one not the ready made in bottle which contains a lot of sugar and calories.

Abdomen Fat
Abdomen fat is the plague of humankind. Our bodies are programmed to store most of our fat around our major organs, most of which surround our abdomens. Our stomachs and our backs become breeding grounds for fat cells, and once you start to gain weight, it’s very tough to lose it.
There are hundreds of workout programs, magic pills and diet programs that promise instant success when it comes to losing abdomen fat, but many of them don’t work. These programs and promises also cost a lot of money; money that you may not have and don’t really need to spend in the first place. Instead of panicking and buying into the hype, take a look at some of the things that you could change in your own life that won’t cost you a penny.
Eating Habits
You don’t need to starve yourself in order to lose abdomen fat. In fact, it’s better that you don’t, because once you do, your body goes into starvation mode, which means that everything you do put in your mouth, your body attempts to store as fat.
Instead, eat smaller portions. We tend to eat way too much food at each meal. Each meal portion should be about the size of the palm of your hand. This ensures that your body is being fed, but isn’t going to give it so much food that it can store it into abdomen fat almost immediately.
Next have a look at your diet as a whole. Are you eating enough fruits and vegetables? Are you drinking enough water, and do you reach for a chip bag every time you get the munchies?
When you go shopping, try to buy only healthy foods. Out of sight, out of mind is very true when it comes to eating. If you have a bag of chips in your cupboard, chances are you’re going to eat it at some point. Take that temptation away by not buying it at all.
Stay Active
If you want to shed abdomen fat, you should stay active. Whether this means walking after each meal or joining a gym, the important thing is staying active. Make it a goal to do something for at least 30 minutes each day. Perhaps buy a dog, if that will help you get out of the house for a walk now and then. The important thing is that you stay focused on your task of losing abdomen fat.
Losing abdomen fat doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. You can take simple measure to lose weight and stay healthy by tweaking your lifestyle. Stay focused and persistent, and you’ll soon notice that abdomen fat disappearing.

Healthy Teeth, Healthy Heart
It is frequently said that one part of your body is related to other parts. Reflexology specialists have always said that pressure points in the feet can relate to head aches, migraines and other pains in the body. Research has now found that your teeth are connected to your heart.
People that regularly visit their local dental practice and take good care of their teeth are less likely to have heart problems like cardiovascular disease. The discovery was made by Professor Howard Jenkinson from the University of Bristol, with support from the Royal College of Surgeons. The research was looking into how blood cells are affected by bacteria when they stumbled upon the discovery.
Around 700 different types of bacteria can be found in the mouth. If you fail to use your electric toothbrush enough then you may suffer from poor dental hygiene. If you have bad dental hygiene you could end up with bleeding gums, gingivitis and other oral diseases which are attacked by the bacteria in your mouth. The bacteria then go into the blood stream and are known to be independent factors in causing heart disease. These independent risk factors for heart disease are a result of oral bacterial infections caused by bacteria like Streptococcus gordonii and Streptococcus sanguinis.
These findings now explain why some antibiotics fail to work in the treatment of heart disease. Professor Jenkinson and his team are collaborating with Dr Steve Kerringan in order to develop a solution to the problem. Until a cure is found it is recommended you take care of your teeth by brushing them regularly using an electric toothbrush. You will find tooth care products are widely available from tooth whitening products like crest white strips to traditional dental care like an electric toothbrush or dental floss.

Eating Fish Can Improve Memory and Prevent Stroke
Older adults may be able to preserve and improve their memories and ward off stroke by eating more non-fried fish, researchers reported in the latest issue of Neurology.
The have found that older adults whose diets include three or more weekly helpings of baked or broiled tuna and other fish, like cod, high in omega-3 fatty acids are less likely to develop “silent” brain lesions that can lead to cognitive decline and vascular stroke.
A brain lesion, or infarct, is an area of damaged brain tissue. The damage typically results from a lack of blood flow to the area. The lesion is dubbed “silent” if it developed in someone who has not had a recognized stroke or transient ischemic attack, also called a mini stroke. Silent brain lesions are very common, especially as a person grows older. The lesions can cause thinking problems, memory loss and stroke.
“Previous findings have shown that fish and fish oil can help prevent stroke, but this is one of the only studies that looks at the effect of fish on silent brain infarcts in healthy, older people,” said Dr Jyrki Virtanen of the University of Kuopio in Finland.
He and his colleagues studied magnetic resonance imaging brain scans of 3,600 adults aged 65 and older who had no history of cerebrovascular disease. Five years later, researchers rescanned 2,313 of the participants and asked them questions about their diets, including how much fish they ate.
After comparing scans and analyzing diet information, they learnt that the adults who ate non-fried tuna and other fish high in omega-3 fatty acids at least three times a week had a nearly 26 per cent lower risk of silent brain lesions than those who opted for such foods less often.
Those who had just one serving of fish per week reduced their risk of silent brain lesions by 13 per cent and those who regularly chose the healthy fish also had fewer changes to the white matter in their brains.
“While eating tuna and other types of fish seems to help protect against memory loss and stroke, these results were not found in people who regularly ate fried fish,” Dr Virtanen said. “More research is needed as to why these types of fish may have protective effects, but the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA would seem to have a major role.”
Tuna, salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines, and anchovies are all rich in omega-3 fatty acids and are good for the heart and the brain. Together with a healthy lifestyle, active mental stimulation, you can improve your brain function, stave off brain aging and improve your memory.

Be Healthy With Organic Food
Today's society is vigilant towards consciousness for health and people are constantly searching for factors that are able to give them an edge for achieving to be healthy. We all know that healthy diet, constant physical activity regime, and sufficient rest have profound impact upon our entire vitality. Subsequently, there are an overwhelming number of groups who swear that organic food is extremely beneficial for the overall health of individuals.
How Are Organic Foods Produced?
Produced in organic farms, these foods are grown under stern supervision and guidelines and are packaged and grown without using any pesticides, man-made fertilizers, preservatives, artificial colorings and other chemicals. Non-organic products are subjected to various chemicals, which are usually not thoroughly studied so that their effects over the consumers' body can be understood and contemplated. These chemicals may be linked to anything from some types of cancer to food allergies.
Benefits Of Consuming Organic Food
One of the main advantages of consuming organic food is that these food products are not at all subjected to any unreliable substances. Dairy and meat products prepared under organic principles are also free from any form of chemicals. Non-organic agricultural farmers usually subject the livestock to various chemical supplements designed for speeding their weight and growth. Further, cows in the dairies are given chemicals for increasing their milk productivity.
As per the guidelines for organic foods, the livestock is reared without using any antibiotics or growth hormones and are not genetically modified in any way. The benefits of organic foods are that the livestock are given only organic feed which is free from chemicals and supplements.
Another advantage of consuming organic food is its friendliness to the environment. The non-organic foods are treated through chemicals, which are responsible to change the landscape and contaminate the surrounding ground and water supplies. The ground in which organic food is grown experiences no changes. Making commitment towards using organic foods will make you healthy as the benefits of organic foods lie in enjoying natural whole foods free of chemicals.
As the benefits of organic foods are long lasting and varied to the environment, the decision for going organic is responsible and a healthy one.
In several countries, the producers of organic foods need to get an organic certification so that they can advertise their food products as organic. Chemical free food products are not able to cure any existing illness but are believed to reduce the risks of intoxication of the body, thereby leading to lesser health related problems. The market of organic foods has been fast developing, as the customers are becoming increasingly health conscious and aware about the after effects of pesticides and chemical fertilizers used in crops on their health.
Virtually, everyone may agree that organic vegetables, fruits, fish and meats are preferred to non-organic foods grown with insecticides, fungicides and chemical fertilizers. At present, non-organic food growers are allowed to make use of more than 1000 chemicals upon their crops, which may heavily lead to soil erosion because of over-farming to the dangerous toxics running off into drinking water.

Cardiovascular Health
Did you realize that the American Heart Association recommends implementing a plan for prevention of heart attack by the age of 20? How many people do you know in their 20's that are really thinking about the prevention of a heart attack? The sad truth is that there are an increasing number of people that have their first heart attack by the age of 40. For many of those individuals the life style habits that are formed in their early years are directly contributing to those heart attacks. Foods high in fat, refined sugars and diets lacking the basic nutrients that our bodies need to operate at an optimal level are all contributing factors.
I'm sure that it is not new news to you that America's number one killer is Heart Disease. But what you may not have realized is that it does not work alone. Heart Disease is part of a group of killers including improper nutrition, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, atherosclerosis, and the lack of exercise. While heart disease may be the one that most often kills an individual it could just as easily be cancer or a stroke. The final cause of death really doesn't matter because they are all capable of beating the system: our immune system, cell damage caused by the free-radicals, on and on the list goes. The good news is that you can fight back.
The American Heart Association's plan on reducing and/or preventing heart disease and all of the closely related diseases could probably be summed up by saying eat healthier (including nutrient rich foods, fruits and vegetables), get more exercise, limit how much saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol you eat, avoid tobacco, reduce the number of beverages and foods with refined sugars, lean meats and poultry without skin, and have fish a couple of times per week.
Easy enough right?
One of the biggest challenges that we face on a day to day basis is getting the basic nutrients into our bodies to optimize our systems. Those base nutrients come in the form of vitamins and minerals. Many of you reading this probably take some form of a multivitamin and that is a great start. Did you know that many of the vitamins our bodies require to function and an optimal level are water soluble and only stay in our bodies for a matter of hours before they need to be replaced? One of these water soluble vitamins happens to be B vitamin, which happens to be a very critical part of our fight against heart disease. For many Americans getting the proper amounts of B vitamin into their bodies is a challenge because if the processing of the foods that they are consuming did not remove all or most of the vitamin B the cooking probably took care of the little that was remaining.
Folate is a B-vitamin found in citrus fruits; tomatoes; dark leafy green vegetables such as spinach and romaine lettuce; pinto, navy, and kidney beans; and grain products. Since January 1998, wheat flour has been fortified with folic acid, the synthetic form of folate, to add an estimated 100 mcg per day to the average diet. However, researchers have found that that people who consumed at least 300 micrograms (mcg) of folate per day had a 20 percent lower risk of stroke and a 13 percent lower risk of cardiovascular disease than those consuming less than 136 mcg of folate per day.
As you can see from the list above one of the best sources of B-vitamin is dark green leafy vegetables - the very thing that you never wanted to eat as a child and your mom insisted that you eat. Fortunately there are some healthy sources of B-vitamins that will ensure that you are not only taking, but absorbing the nutrients needed to fight against this short coming in our diets. One such source is the MetaGreens supplement from Univera LifeSciences.
While many of you may have heard of free radicals and know that one of the ways to avoid the damaging effects of free radicals in our bodies is to ensure that we taken in ample antioxidants. What you may not have heard is that free radicals damage the lining of your arteries which ultimately leads to the build up of plaque and eventually causing a blockage in the artery. If that artery leads to your brain you suffer a stroke. It is estimated that most Americans get approximately 1800 ORAC daily. Unfortunately, many experts are estimating that we should be getting in excess of 3500 ORAC daily to combat the effects of free radical damage on our bodies. A fantastic source of antioxidants is the Univera LifeSciences AgelessXtra. Not only does it have one of the highest (if not the highest) ORAC ratings of all supplements available it is a great source of vitamins B3 and B6. Additionally AgelessXtra provides a host of other nutrients engineered to help keep you aging healthier.
Some additional vitamins, minerals and nutrients that you should be watching are:
Vitamin E which strengthens the immune system and heart muscle improves circulation, reduces risk of clots (preventing thrombosis: blot clot blocking a blood vessel), destroys free radicals.
Vitamin C is important in treating cardiovascular disease.
Vitamins B6, B12, and Folic Acid deficiency have been linked to heart disease, particularly blocked arteries.
Alpha Lipoic Acid reduces risks of heart attack, lowers LDL cholesterol.
Beta Carotene reduces risks of heart attack and stroke.
CoQ10 promotes heart function, reduces risk of heart failure, reduces high blood pressure, speeds recovery from bypass surgery, reduces risk of heart attack, and prevents recurrences of heart attack.
Chromium Picolinate fights atherosclerosis, lowers triglycerides, and improves blood cholesterol profile.
Magnesium contributes to proper functioning of heart muscle, keeps heartbeats normal, reduces angina.
DHEA prevents unwanted blood clots, controls insulin, destroys free radicals, and helps reduce body fat.
L-Carnitine reduces fat and triglycerides in the blood, increases oxygen uptake and stress tolerance.
Human Growth Hormone (HGH) plays a potentially significant role in strengthening heart muscle, reducing atherosclerosis, and fighting obesity. Effective HGH releasers include Arginine, Arginine/Ornithine, L-Arginine, L-Glutamine, L-Lysine, L-Ornithine, Niacinamide, GABA, and OKG.
Below is some important information from the American Heart Association
Extensive clinical and statistical studies have identified "major" risk factors and "contributing" risk factors that lead to coronary heart disease (heart attack) and stroke. The risk factors are:
Heredity - offspring of parents and grandparents with cardiovascular disease are more likely to have heart attacks and strokes.
Men - men are more likely than women to have heart attacks and have heart attacks at younger ages.
Increasing Age - 4 out of 5 people who die of heart attack are over 65 years of age.
Physical Inactivity - regular aerobic exercise plays a significant role in preventing heart and blood vessel disease. Even modest levels of low-intensity exercise are beneficial if done regularly over the long term. Exercise also helps prevent increased blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, etc.
Cigarette / Tobacco Smoke - smokers have more than twice the risk of heart attack as nonsmokers, and the risk of sudden cardiac death is between two and four times the risk faced by nonsmokers.
High Blood Cholesterol Levels - higher LDL ("bad") cholesterol correlates with increased risk of heart disease.
High Blood Pressure - the extra burden on the heart causes the heart to enlarge and weaken.
Obesity - the extra weight causes a strain on the heart; obesity leads to diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
Diabetes Mellitus - 80 percent of people with diabetes die of some form of heart or blood vessel disease.
Stress - a potentially significant risk factor, particular in conjunction with one or more other risk factors.
In summery, please keep in mind when you fight cardiovascular disease by taking pro-active approach through a healthy lifestyle, simultaneously you will achieve reduced risk of all types of diseases and as such you are far more likely to live longer more fulfilling life.

Protect yourself With Anti Aging Know-how
Admit it or not, we all want to look and feel younger. How do we do it with our hectic schedules? We just can't seem to find the time for things we enjoy doing, let alone exercise!
It all depends on your priorities and what's really important to you. Then you must take action.
Anti aging the natural way is more desirable then relying on drugs and other extreme measures. Following are some ideas that you can use to age more gracefully and do so in a safe manner.
The three main points that will be covered here are your lifestyle, the food you eat and supplements.
What type of lifestyle or you living? Are you getting the right amount of exercise? You don't necessarily need to run to the gym everyday. You can get beneficial exercise from walking, gardening and other activities that you can do around your home. Take the family to a park, go hiking, or take up a sport.
Maybe you would be interested in Karate or Yoga. Try to find something that you enjoy.
Meditation is a great way to relieve stress, sleep better, feel younger and sharpen your brain. The health benefits from meditation can give you a more enjoyable and longer life. If you don't know how to meditate then you could take a class, look it up on the internet or find a good CD to listen to.
Most folks today are on a terrible diet to be honest. Fast food and processed food are really not the way you were meant to eat.
If you really want to feel great and be healthier then ever, then eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Prepare some great home meals, and eat less processed food.
Some vegetables and fruits that are a step above others are broccoli, spinach, carrots, blueberries and tomatoes.
Eating raw fruits and vegetables in their natural state is the way to go if you want the most antioxidants and nutrients. You may be surprise how tasty they are too!
There are good fats and bad fats. You should eat some of the good fats such as olive oil, fish oil and coconut oil. Stay away from most other oils.
Eat organic whenever possible. These products are pesticide free and are not genetically modified in most cases. Organic produce contains more beneficial nutrients as well.
Now we all know that it's not easy getting all our nutrients from the food we eat today. That's where some good supplements will help us out.
You want a good quality multi supplement that is as natural as possible. Don't waste your money on most supermarket supplements.
Besides a good multi there are a few others to keep in mind. These include; DHEA, Coenzyme Q10, Lutein , Morinda Citrifolia Resveratrol, Acai and more.
So in conclusion, let's change our lifestyle for the better by eating right, exercising, looking into alternative activities such as meditation and taking supplements that we could benefit from.

Home Spa Treatments
Every women love to look beautiful and attractive. These are many products present in the market that can increase the beauty of a person but these treatments can be harmful as they contain amount of chemicals. You can solve your problem by making spa products in with your kitchen elements as these products are free from chemicals.
The making time takes also less time and you can use it any time you want to pleasure with them. This home made spa products are also costs less and beneficial too. You can follow the steps that are mentioned below and keep yourself healthy and fresh.
First thing you have to do is cleanse your face with gentle cleanser as it is good to take out the extra oil from the surface of the skin. You should use the cleansing products according to the type of your skin as if you have oily kind of skin you must use strong cleanser and if you have dry skin you should use a creamy content holder cleanser.
After that, use an exfoliater in circular motion and gently rub exfoliating cream in order to remove dead skin cells. You should focus on the areas of your face that tend to be oiliest and these areas are usually the T-zone such as forehead, nose and chin. You have to give steam your face after that as steam is much gentler than that used at the spa. To give steam to your body you have to fill your bathroom sink with warm water. Now, dip your washcloth in the water and press to your face gently. You can repeat the process two to three times.
After taking steam to your skin, a mask is necessary. If you have oily or combination skin you can use a clay-based mask and if you have dry skin, you must use a hydrating mask. Apply mask to the skin, being careful to avoid the eye area and leave mask on for 10 to 20 minutes or as directed. This will prove glow and beauty to skin.
No skin treatment can be completed by the moisturizer; you have to apply a light moisturizer in order to prevent dehydrating the skin. You should look for a moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher in order to protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays.

Health care : Tips for Quitting Smoking
So you're thinking it's time to quit smoking? Maybe it's the first time, maybe the 20th time.
I quit smoking almost 8 years ago. I never thought I would be a non-smoker. Briefly, my story is that I went from smoking 2 packs a day when I started, to 2 cigarettes a day. But.....I HAD to have those 2 a day. I was addicted. I hated being addicted, especially since I'd quit alcohol and lost lots of weight. I looked forward to my 2 cigarettes. I had one around 6:00 pm and the other right before bed. It was a routine I had for years.
I got sick 8 years ago. The kind of sickness you can't smoke (most of the time no matter how sick you are you'll smoke, I did anyway). But for 4 days I couldn't smoke and I wasn't very nice to be around @ work. My supervisor really upset me and I went home that 5th day and promised myself a cigarette, sick or not, because "I deserved it." I was looking forward to it.
I got home and picked up the pack of cigarettes that had been sitting on my desk for days and took out a cigarette and picked up my lighter and headed outside. I was getting giddy. Oh, I get to smoke again! I took a puff. Horrible! Well that's because I hadn't had a cigarette in 5 days. I took another puff. Still nasty but I'd keep trying. After around 4 puffs I was feeling nauseaus. Darn! I wanted to finish the cigarette so badly........it was only half-smoked but I put it out. I told myself there was always tomorrow (even though the question "could this be my last cigarette?" popped into my head). No tomorrow I'll think about it.
Long story short...I never picked up another cigarette after that day. Every time the thoughts would come about smoking like "you're not smoking anymore? "what about your cigarette before you go ......." NO! I wouldn't finish the thoughts. I would just gently lift my thoughts into a peaceful place. It sound sorta hokey but that's exactly what I did. I then went out doing my errands "pretending" I had already had my late afternoon cigarette. I stayed calm too. That's key!
I've been a non-smoker now for almost 8 years and I can't tell you how great it is not to be beholden to cigarettes anymore. I still like the smell of a cigarette sometimes but I never think about them or want to go back to smoking. I smoked for 28 years and I'll never go back again.
So my 3 tips to quit smoking that worked for me are:
Stay calm, meditate if you can. It's important to keep the mind calm and serene so the thoughts don't start to take over;
"Trick" yourself--do whatever you would have done AFTER the cigarette. For me I used to practice singing after my cigarette. So since I wasn't smoking I sang and "tricked" myself into thinking I had already smoked.
Don't let your mind finish all the negative thoughts that WILL come. The mind will try possibly 100 times in one day to get you to smoke. Remember, this is something you WANT to do (quit smoking) It will be worth it.
This may sound a little "out there" for some people but this is what worked for me. I'm very non-traditional and couldn't have done it any other way. And boy am I grateful to not be smoking. I have a freedom that just can't be described!

All About Tooth Whitening
As the title suggests, teeth whitening is a process of removing discolouration and stains from teeth and bleaching them to achieve a whiter smile. Badly stained teeth can even benefit from a simple scale and polish from a dental hygienist.
Most dental practises will offer a combination of immediate surgery teeth whitening and a customised take-home whitening kit. Both bleach the teeth with a peroxide based compound varying in strength. The high the concentration of peroxide in the compound the more powerful it will be. Strong peroxide solutions will more effectively whiten the teeth but could also cause damage to the surrounding gum tissue and mouth.
It is imperative that a dentist isolates your gums and lips with protection to avoid burning them with peroxide. Dentists will use a high concentration of peroxide but properly protect your mouth and gums, whereas home kits tend to have a much lower concentration of peroxide to avoid any damage occurring away from the surgery. High strength home whitening kits are becoming available, but these should be considered with severe caution. Teeth whitening should not be carried out without the supervision of a qualified dentist.
The home kit offers more permanent results over a longer time, whereas laser whitening can produce immediate results. A combination of the two treatments ensures instant and long-term results.
Procedure
Before any whitening treatment, a dentist or hygienist will clean the teeth, removing any surface stains and tartar. This is called a scale and polish. They will then make a record of the colour and shade of the teeth before the treatment to show the patient the visible results of the procedure.
Then some protection is placed around the gums so that only the teeth are exposed to a highly peroxide concentrated compound. This may be rolls of cotton or special protective gel material which hardens once applied.
A cheek retractor is used to keep the lips and cheeks away from the teeth while they are being bleached. Eye protection is also provided to prevent any damage to the eyes from the laser used or accidental splashes of peroxide.
The whitening gel is applied to the teeth and some dentists expose it to a light or laser for around an hour. This, they argue, speeds up the whole process making the peroxide compound more effective.
When the compound is washed off and the gum protection is removed, the dentist will evaluate the results by using a shade chart or comparing digital photos.
Side Effects
Most people experience a little sensitivity in their teeth for up to 48 hours after initial treatment. The dentist should supply a gel or mouse to be applied to teeth to reduce sensitivity, and advise those undertaking treatment to avoid hot and cold food and drinks for 48 hours afterwards. Some dentists will offer a fluoride treatment to reduce the sensitivity immediately after the procedure.

Brain Tumor – Threat to Society
In the fast moving world, Brain tumor is one of the major causes for the increase in Mortality among children and adults. Brain tumor is one an abnormal mass of tissue in which cells grow and multiply, seemingly unchecked by the mechanisms that control normal cells. The complex brain tumors can be separated into two general categories depending on the tumors origin, their growth pattern and malignancy. Primary brain tumors are tumors that arise from cells in the brain or from the covering of the brain. A secondary or metastatic brain tumor occurs when cancer cells spread to the brain from a primary cancer in another part of the body. Most Research in developed countries show that the number of people who develop brain tumors and die from them has increased perhaps as much as 300 over past three decades. The National Brain Tumor Foundation (NBTF) for research in United States estimates that 29,000 people in the U.S are diagnosed with primary brain tumors each year, and nearly 13,000 people die. In children, brain tumors are the cause of one quarter of all cancer deaths. The overall annual incidence of primary brain tumors in the U.S is 11 to 12 per 100,000 people for primary malignant brain tumors, that rate is 6 to 7 per 1,00,000. In the UK, over 4,200 people are diagnosed with a brain tumor every year (2007 estimates). There are about 200 other types of tumors diagnosed in UK each year. About 16 out of every 1,000 cancers diagnosed in the UK are in the brain (or 1.6%). In India, totally 80,271 people are affected by various types of tumor (2007 estimates). NBTF reported highest rate of primary malignant brain tumor occurred in Northern Europe, United States and Israel. Lowest rate arised in India and Philippines. Brain tumor cannot be prevented yet, because causes are being detected only recently. Brain tumor symptoms vary from patient to patient. The common brain tumor symptoms are:
Headaches - This is common symptom, with 46% of the patients reporting having headaches. They described the headaches in many different ways, with no one pattern being a sure sign of brain tumor. Many - perhaps most - people get headaches at some point in their life, so this is not a definite sign of brain tumors.
Seizures- A seizure is a sudden, involuntary change in behavior, muscle control, consciousness, and/or sensation. Symptoms of a seizure can range from sudden, violent shaking and total loss of consciousness to muscle twitching or slight shaking of a limb. Staring into space, altered vision, and difficulty in speaking are some of the other behaviors that a person may exhibit while having a seizure. Approximately 10% of the U.S. population will experience a single seizure in their lifetime.
Nausea / Vomitting-As with headaches, these are non-specific - which means that most people who have nausea and vomiting do NOT have a brain tumor. Twenty-two percent of the people in our survey reported that they had nausea and /or vomiting as a symptom
Problems with vision- Twenty-five percent reported vision problems. This one is easy - if you notice any problem with your hearing or vision, it must be checked out. I commonly hear that the eye doctor is the first one to make the diagnosis - because when they look in your eyes, they can sometimes see signs of increased intracranial pressure. This must be investigated.
Problems with sensation in your hands- Problems with weakness of the arms, legs or face muscles, and strange sensations in your head or hands. Twenty-five percent reported weakness of the arms and/or legs. Sixteen percent reported strange feelings in the head, and 9% reported strange feelings in the hands
Behavioral and cognitive problems: Many reported behavioral and cognitive changes, such as: problems with recent memory, inability to concentrate or finding the right words, acting out - no patience or tolerance, and loss of inhibitions - saying or doing things that are not appropriate for the situation.

Overview:
Primary symptoms of brain tumor are headache, vomiting and nausea, weakness in hearing and eyesight, lack of strength in arms and legs, strange sensations in heads and hands. Surgery is the treatment of choice for accessible brain tumors. Accessible tumors are those which can be surgically removed without causing severe neurological damage. Tumors located in gray matter or deep within the brain may be inaccessible. Brain tumor surgery in India at Indian metros of Delhi and Mumbai has acquired a good scope for providing health recovery to abroad natives coming to India for removal and cure of brain tumors..

Burning Calories a Must for Weight Loss
Whatever the reason for the person starting any attempt to lose weight, one of the main problems that will be encountered is sustaining the desire to lose weight. Whether the initial cause was medical necessity, human vanity, or whatever, people trying to lose weight will eventually find their weight loss motivation just a touch lacking. More often than not, the reason that people suddenly lose the motivation is because of time. The diet plan isn’t something they can deal with in the long-term, or that the exercise plan takes up too much of their time. The reasons can vary from person to person, but eventually, it comes down to time. One of the most common ones involves the whole “it isn’t fast enough” problem. That is, people lose heart and weight loss motivation when whatever it is they’re doing doesn’t drop the pounds within the amount of time they wanted it to.
What most people don’t realize is that they might not be realizing their own mistakes. Take, for example, people who exercise to lose weight. These people engage in several hours a week in some form of physical activity, whether it be gym training or some sort of sport. For as long as there is a regular psychical activity they wish to engage in, and the weight loss motivation to push them to do that, then they’re going to be doing it. However, the problem lies in the fact that some people find that all the exercise they do isn’t really doing all that much good. In some cases, the exercise doesn’t actually help at all. There is a chance that the fault lies in the exercise plan itself, but more often than not, people are simply eating more calories or foods than they’re losing in their workouts. In almost all cases of this happening, the person doesn’t even realize this is the case.
The core of this problem stems from people being unaware of just how many calories they’re really burning when they exercise. The average person can burn about 1,000 calories for every mile he walks, but a typical candy bar can contain 3,000 calories and the average pizza about 6,000. While more and more people interested in fitness realize how many calories are in food, many of them fail to properly know just how many calories they happen to be burning after any given activity. As such, while they believe they’re working off any excess calories from what they’ve eaten, the reality is that they’re just barely putting a dent into the numbers. The fact that some people simply don’t have the time to work out long enough to drop the calories is another factor.
Of course, this doesn’t really give anyone a whole lot of confidence when one considers that there appears to be some people who seem to just drop pounds like nobody’s business. There could be any number of factors behind this, such as genetics, gender (some studies suggest men can burn calories faster than women can), and available time. Some people with the time to exercise heavily do so, but conveniently don’t tell just how long they spent in the gym to trim down their figures. Some even deny being in the gym, citing little more than just everyday activities as their “secret” to losing weight.
